What you need to know about your payment options

Payment is easy and we accept the following forms of payment:

Most of major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard/EuroCard, JCB and American Express;
All major debit cards: Solo, Maestro, Visa Delta and Visa Electron.;
All main types of bank transfers: CHAPS, BACS, IBAN and SWIFT;
Personal cheques drawn on a UK Bank, sterling bank drafts and postal orders in pounds sterling;
Electronic and paper versions of Fameo Gift Certificates and Gift Cards;
PayPal for qualifying orders.

We regret that at present we are unable to accept the following forms of payment:

Cash on Delivery (COD);
Cash in any currency;
Diners club and Discover cards;
Eurocheques;
Escrow and iBill;
Foreign postal orders;
Personal cheques not written on a British bank account;
Western Union Money Transfers.

If you are paying for your order using a credit or debit card you will be asked to enter your card details as part of the ordering process, and you will find further instructions when you process your first order. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information, your details will be kept safe and secure and will be covered by our security guarantee.

Sometimes a request for credit card authorization fails once or twice, before the card is finally authorized. We will post this to the order tracking log and will attempt to send you an e-mail if we experience difficulties in authorizing your credit card. You are always welcome to submit new credit or debit card information through your order screen at Your account, by selecting "Manage" order and choosing the "Pay or change payment details" option.

Price confirmation and pre-order pricing

All prices are listed in British Pounds and all orders placed on Fameo will be charged in British Pounds. Except where noted otherwise, the price displayed for products (List price) on our website always represent the final retail price. Please note, that we do not offer additional discounts on large orders of a single item or on large orders of many individual items.

We work hard to ensure the accuracy of pricing, but despite our efforts, pricing errors may still occur and if the product's price is higher than our Listed price, we will cancel your order of that product and notify you of the cancellation.

Prices for the items with "pre-order" status sometimes change between the time the item is listed on our website and the time it is actually released. Items in your shopping basket always reflect the current price displayed on the product details page. Please note, placing an item in your shopping basket or saving to your list does not reserve the price shown at that time on the product details page. Price may decrease or increase between the time you saved it in your shopping basket or list and the time you actually purchase it.

VAT on goods sold

VAT stands for value added tax, which is charged on goods sold by Fameo within the European Union (EU). In accordance with the laws governing members of the European Union, we are obliged to charge VAT on all orders delivered to destinations in member countries of the EU.

The UK VAT standard rate is 17.5%.
Fameo VAT number is 877105803.

The price amount displayed for goods sold by Fameo are exclusive of UK VAT and your final price may differ depending on the actual VAT rate that applies to your order. You will be able to see your final price inclusive of applicable VAT before you confirm your order, when you have completed your delivery address and get to the order confirmation screen.

We are an internet based mail order company and we are legally ineligible to participate in the VAT Retail Export Scheme, which reimburses VAT to customers when they purchase goods for export outside of the European Union. However, we can refund VAT on orders sent to BFPO addresses, as long as the address is located outside of the United Kingdom and you requested a VAT refund after your order has been despatched.
